This morning, a fresh post appeared on their Instagram account featuring a blurry, black-and-white object that fans have identified as the letter “V.” While it offers zero context, it has been enough to ignite a firestorm of theories regarding the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
The image is minimalist, but the community is already dissecting its meaning. The most obvious connection points to the film’s central antagonist, played by the returning Robert Downey Jr. The “V” could simply stand for Victor Von Doom, the villain’s full name. Others suggest a more literal interpretation: “V” as the Roman numeral for five, signifying that Doomsday is the fifth installment in the Avengers saga. What makes this release particularly interesting for fans is the rumor regarding how the trailer will be distributed. Reports indicate that Avengers: Doomsday might not just get one trailer, but four distinct trailers released over four weeks attached to screenings of Avatar.
