Avengers: Doomsday teaser brings Wakanda face-to-face with the Fantastic Four

Shuri returns as Black Panther as Marvel continues the final countdown to December.

Marvel Studios continues to slowly roll out everything it has prepared for Avengers: Doomsday, and today it has done so once again with a new teaser that offers a glimpse of another corner of the MCU set to face Doctor Doom later this year.

In the brief preview, focused on Wakanda, we see Shuri—ready, still mourning the loss of her loved ones, yet accepting her responsibilities as Black Panther. Other familiar faces also appear, including M’Baku and Namor. However, the real surprise arrives at the end with one of Marvel Comics’ most iconic encounters: Black Panther meeting the Fantastic Four, represented here by Ben Grimm. The teaser concludes with the long-awaited phrase: “The Wakandans and the Fantastic Four Will Return in Avengers: Doomsday.” You can watch the teaser below:

The countdown has begun

For weeks, Marvel Studios has been releasing teasers that confirm the return of previously announced characters while also revealing the participation of others that had been kept under wraps. Captain America, Thor, and the X-Men have been unveiled little by little, and alongside these reveals, the Russo brothers have launched an extensive countdown across their social media accounts.

Now, for fans who want to follow the countdown to the premiere day by day, Marvel’s official YouTube channel introduced a live countdown this morning that will run until the film’s release. With 11 months to go, the question remains: will there be hidden Easter eggs? Will additional teasers and trailers appear along the way? Or is it simply an elegant countdown clock?
