Baldur’s Gate 3 details features set to come in future updates

Larian Studios is already working on updating Baldur’s Gate 3, with performances updates and more patch coming to PS5 soon.

Just this week, Larian Studios released the PS5 version of Baldur’s Gate 3, which Digital Foundry has said runs with graphic settings equivalent to Ultra on PC. Little by little, we’re starting to get a picture of the route the studio has planned for its title, which will continue to receive upgrades and new features.

One of the complaints that arose almost from the beginning is that once created, your character cannot be edited, a functionality that was available in Divinity Original Sin 2. However, the studio plans to add this option in the future. It is not the only thing they plan to implement. In fact, developers are already working on cross-platform multiplayer. This was revealed by Michael Douse, from Larian Studios, in statements to Eurogamer:

Cross-platform “was always in the planning, but we knew it wouldn’t be for launch. It’s in the roadmap, and though we have an idea of when we’d like to get it ready for, we don’t want to put a date on it until we’re sure.”

Photo Mode in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Nowadays there is no video game worth its salt without Photo Mode. In a fantasy title like Baldur’s Gate 3 it fits perfectly, which is why the studio has also confirmed that it will be added soon. Douse has assured fans that it is “on the list” of features to come, without specifying a possible date.

The PS5 version needs optimization to improve its performance a little more, another of the objectives that the creators of Divinity have in their sights. “Now feels like a good time to say even better performance improvements are on the horizon. the engineers working on this really had an impossible task, and I’m thrilled people think they nailed it.”

The extremely successful Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC and PS5. The Xbox Series X and S version is expected to come out sometime this year.
