Baldur’s Gate 3 is so big the devs got you a certified note to skip work
Larian Studios knows you want to dive into Baldur’s Gate 3 at launch, so they have a “Special Dispensation” note for your work or school so you can stay home and play.
Today is the day. Baldur’s Gate 3 leaves early access and transports us to the Forgotten Realms to live the purest epic fantasy. The work of Larian Studios represents the achievement of years of work, although in the case of this developer, we can expect much more content in the future. And if we’re talking about content, the one that comes with the base game is such a huge amount that it may require us to take a few days off. The Belgian studio, with the humor that characterizes it, has published a justification for being able to miss work (as a joke, in case it was not clear).
“Hi, Larian’s legal team here. Launch day is nearly upon us. Have YOUR Baldur’s Gate 3 adventuring plans been thwarted by the forces of obligatory labour? You may be eligible for Special Dispensation. Give this note to your boss — they’ll understand,” says the tweet, which you can see just below these lines.
Goodbye to early access, what to do when Baldur’s Gate 3 comes out?
Those who have played Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access have been able to experience the evolution of the game over the years, but the title has changed so much that the games are not compatible. For this reason, Larian Studios has tried by all means to make the transition as smooth as possible. Despite everything, the developers have published a guide to avoid possible problems. One of the recommendations they have provided is to have players uninstall mods and delete all save games. Then, it’s time to uninstall the game and wait for the final version to be available throughout the day.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is out on August 3 on PC. The PS5 version will not be ready until September 6. Until August 17, players will be able to obtain special rewards as Twitch Drops if you watch and support your favorite streamers.
