Bandai Namco will host its own gaming Summer Showcase full of “exciting announcements”
A new video game showcase is coming soon, this time by anime experts Bandai Namco, set to bring tons of news on their upcoming titles at the beginning of July.
This latest season of “not-E3″ left us with a multitude of digital events in charge of the most prominent companies in the video game industry, from PlayStation to Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Capcom and the Summer Game Fest and Future Games Show, among others. And Bandai Namco didn’t want to miss the video game summer party by announcing their next digital event during Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles. The Bandai Namco Summer Showcase, a broadcast of 90 minutes, will take place on July 1, 2023 starting at 4:30 PM PT/ 7 40 PM ET, and will show off the company’s upcoming news and updates, with a clear focus on anime themed games.

This was confirmed by Bandai Namco through its official channels, announcing a series of games that will be present both at the event and in the thematic stands that the company will have in the Petree Hall at Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles, which will take place from July 1 to 4 where attendees will be able to try out the upcoming titles from the Japanese publisher. Most of these news will be focused on anime franchises,and two titles based on animes and two RPGs classics have been teased for the occasion.
Bandai Namco confirmed that we will be able to learn about video game titles such as Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, the most ambitious title ever created yet for the ninja series, and Sand Land, an action-adventure game based on the manga by Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball) whose anime film will be released this summer in Japan.
The other games present at the Bandai Namco event will be Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, the new installment of the well-known RPG saga available on October 6, 2023, and Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster, the improved version of the two GameCube classics that will arrive on Nintendo Switch on September 15, 2023.
For now, there are no other confirmed games. However, it is expected that some of Bandai Namco’s most anticipated titles will also have a presence, such as the new Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi, Tekken 8, and Armored Core VI, which is already close to release.
