Beastars Season 3 has a release date, will arrive in two parts

As part of Netflix’s announcements at Anime Expo, the third season of this Netflix anime finally has a release window.

Update:
Beastars

After many years of waiting and denying the furry that some developed after the first two seasons, it’s time to get back to Legoshi’s coming-of-age story. Netflix announced new details about the return of Beastars and its third and final season during Anime Expo.

During this convention, the poster for the third season of Beastars was revealed, as well as its premiere date, December 2024. Or at least part 1 of this final arc.  The announcement is accompanied by the phrase “A world of impending danger awaits Legoshi as the final chapter begins.” No story details have been revealed yet.

What is Beastars about?

Beastars, based on the manga by Paru Itagaki, presents a world of anthropomorphic animals that pits carnivores against herbivores. It follows the story of a shy college wolf named Legoshi who must fight against his carnivorous instincts as he begins a romantic relationship with a rabbit named Haru, while a whole struggle of power, social class, crime, and drama revolves around this particular society. The anime comes from Studio Orange, who recently worked on Godzilla: Singular Point and Trigun Stampede.

The announcement of Beastars Season 3 comes after a real long wait. The first season debuted in Japan at the end of 2019, only to be distributed outside the Asian country via Netflix a few months later in March 2020. Soon after, a second season was announced, which premiered in January 2021. Since then, the future of Legoshi has been up in the air.
