Become a member of Pokémon’s Team Rocket with official Pokémon apparel and an awesome card game case
Pokémon surprises everyone with the arrival of a new line of Team Rocket apparel, topped off with an impressive briefcase to store our TCG cards.

Pokémon has announced several merchandising items that die-hard fans of the franchise have been dreaming about for years, focusing on a not-so-explored area of the saga: Team Rocket. The brand continues to expand its horizons with a new line of apparel inspired by this team of thieves and thugs that plagued the Kanto and Johto regions in the video games. The crown jewel of this new line of themed apparel and accessories, however, is an impressive briefcase that is more than just a prop, as it is fully functional and can hold your Pokémon Trading Card Game decks and collections - a true luxury!
Prepare for trouble! And make it double! Here’s Team Rocket’s new line of Pokémon apparel, complete with an awesome briefcase for your cards
Through a post on its website, Pokémon has announced the arrival of a new line of apparel inspired by the ruthless Team Rocket, the criminal organization led by Giovanni featured in many of the video games and other related works such as manga and anime. It is a very complete set of clothing and accessories of all kinds, such as T-shirts, pants, underwear, sweatshirts, ties, hats, bandoliers, and even an imposing briefcase to store our precious Pokémon cards. All of these items, with the exception of some socks, are black with a large red R printed on them, representing the Team Rocket logo.

The prices of these items range from 1,980 yen - about $13 - for the wallets to 8,250 yen for the parkas, which is about $55 at the exchange rate. The briefcase is the most exclusive and limited item in the collection for one reason: it is the most expensive - it costs 14,900 yen, about $99 - and can only be purchased by lottery via the website. Inside it contains 30 packs of cards from The Glory of Team Rocket set, so it can be potentially profitable if we are lucky with the cards included, given the high value they can reach on the parallel market. According to the company, the case “may be available for sale again in the future.

One of the most striking things is that the letters “R” on the clothes feature several of the Pokémon commonly used by members of this crime syndicate: from the mighty Mewtwo - which debuted as Giovanni’s Pokémon in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and which we have also seen used in Pokémon GO - to others such as Golbat, Weezing, Raticate, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen.

Unfortunately, all of these items appear to be exclusive to the Asian market for the time being, as there is no sign of them on the official US Pokémon Store. It is not known if there are any plans to release these items in the rest of the world, although given the extremely positive reception they received on social networks after their announcement, all signs point to The Pokémon Company being encouraged to make a global release.
As many have pointed out, much of the fun of these items is that they not only allow Pokémon fans to show their “colors” and sympathy for Team Rocket, but many of these items make it easy to create convincing cosplays. In particular, the briefcase and more formal attire such as the tie could be used to impersonate a Team Rocket Administrator, a high-ranking member of the organization.
