Ted Lasso fans finally have some news about the future of the show. Jason Sudeikis, who plays the charismatic coach of AFC Richmond, confirmed that the fourth season is in development for AppleTV+ and will feature a new twist: Ted will now coach a women’s team.

The revelation came during a chat on the podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, where Sudeikis was asked about returning to the beloved series, which ended its third season in the summer of 2023. Faced with these questions, the actor mentioned:

“That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now,” Sudeikis teased. “That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”

What’s the word on Ted Lasso Season 4?

Details are scarce at the moment, but according to Deadline, Juno Temple (Keeley) is in negotiations to return, while Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie) are already confirmed since August. In addition, the first episode of the new season could be filmed in Kansas City before Ted returns to the UK. Production is expected to begin in July.

Apple TV+ is already warming up, reactivating the show’s social networks with a touch of humor, reminding us that it will be worth the wait. Although there is no release date, production is set to begin in July, giving us hope that Ted and company will soon be back on our screens.

For now, we must be patient and Believe.
