Black Myth: Wukong developers are teasing news for the game this year
Game Science, the developers of Black Myth: Wukong, are teasing “some surprises” related to the game to be revealed later in the year.
After winning the Golden Joystick Award for Ultimate Game of the Year, Black Myth: Wukong has cemented its place in the industry as one of the strongest and most surprising debut titles of the year. The Game Science title surprised players with its epic graphics and massive scale, so the awards weren’t going to be far away from its release. But now, the studio is teasing there is more to come to the single player action game.
Celebrating their victory and thanking fans for the win of Ultimate Game of the Year, co-founder of the studio Feng Ji shared a message in which he spoke about their nomination and how much work the team went through to deliver the game. And then, he added: “Of course, you might have already completed our game. That’s perfectly fine too. Keep following us, and there might just be some surprises waiting for you later this year.”
Could the co-founder be talking about some sort of DLC, or the long awaited release for Xbox consoles? We’ll have to wait to find out.
The fight for Game of the Year continues
The end of the year also brings with it Awards Season, a time in which various organizations begin to debate and reveal their picks for the best games of 2024. And while the Golden Joysticks have already taken place, next month will see the return of Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards, where Black Myth: Wukong is also competing for the GOTY 2024 title.
The Game Awards 2024 will be streamed live on December 12 starting at 7.30 pm ET / 6.30 pm CST/4.30 pm PT, and it will be full of all the spectacular launches that have taken place throughout 2024.
