Blizzard unveils its 2026 Showcase and paves the way for the return of BlizzCon

2026 is an important year for Blizzard, as the company not only celebrates 35 years in the industry, but has also confirmed the return of BlizzCon in September. In the run-up to this major event, a detailed schedule of live broadcasts has been revealed, where development teams will present the most important news for their main franchises under the name Blizzard Showcase.

The Future of Azeroth, Sanctuary, and Beyond

The presentations are designed to offer an in-depth look at each universe, allowing players to understand better the changes coming to their gaming sessions. Each broadcast will be available to watch on each game’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The action kicks off on January 29 with “World of Warcraft – State of Azeroth,” a broadcast focused on the MMORPG that remains a pillar for the company. Then, on February 4, it will be Overwatch’s turn, taking the “Spotlight” that will define the competitive experience in the coming months will be discussed.

The calendar continues on February 9 with news for Hearthstone card fans, and closes with a bang on February 11 with a special Diablo presentation. The latter is particularly significant, as it will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the saga, marking three decades of dungeon exploration and fighting the forces of evil.
