BlizzCon is back! Blizzard announces dates for the return of its convention, but you will have to wait
Blizzard fans, see you in 2026.

BlizzCon, one of the industry’s most important fan events, is back, but Blizzard fans will have to wait a little longer than expected. The Irvine, California-based company released a video on social media showing the first teaser for the event.
When will BlizzCon 2026 take place?
Although information is scarce at this time, BlizzCon 2026 will be held September 12-13 at the classic Anaheim Convention Center. This breaks with the tradition established in 2013 of the event being held on the first weekend in November, as well as the dates, as it will now be a Saturday and Sunday event.
The event’s official website mentions that the event aims to improve on everything the convention has done in the past, with a focus on “a deep commitment to our players.” “For 2026, alongside BlizzCon staples like Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competition, hands-on gameplay, and more, we aim to meaningfully elevate this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience for all who take part in it. We are building this event just like we build our games: with a deep commitment to our players, with respect for your connections to our universes, and as a celebration of the strength of the bonds formed through shared adventure.
For the time being, the additional details about the event are minimal, but we cannot doubt that important aspects such as the community night or the final concert will be maintained as an important part of the event.
Although the 2024 event had to be canceled, in 2023 we attended the latest edition of BlizzCon, where we saw the triumphant return of Chris Metzen, Executive Creative Director, who completely changed the way World of Warcraft expansions are announced by introducing the Worldsoul Saga, and on the closing night we experienced the great Community Night and the closing with the K-Pop band LE SSERAFIM, who just collaborated on Overwatch 2.
