Bloober Team jumps from Silent Hill to space horror with Cronos: The New Dawn, their new survival horror game

After making a big splash with the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team is not about to take its foot off the gas. The Polish developer was one of the surprise guests at the Xbox Partner Preview, an event where it appeared to announce its next game, Cronos: The New Dawn. True to its fetish genre, this time the studio is approaching it from a science fiction angle, reminiscent of Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol.

The game is a new sci-fi survival horror coming in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5. “Cronos: The New Dawn is a twisted time travel story set in an unforgiving post-apocalyptic future in 1980s Poland″, reads the first press release. “Players will take on the role of a Traveler, an agent of the enigmatic Collective with a mission to extract selected people who didn’t survive the apocalypse from the past. To complete the Collective’s mission, players will need to survive a deadly wasteland created by a cataclysmic event known as the Change, filled with monstrous abominations that will challenge players’ combat abilities.”
