Call of Duty announces crossover with Warhammer 40K

A collaboration full of military space power is coming to Call of Duty.

Call of Duty and Warhammer 40K is already a reality, a confirmation by Activision of a crossover that comes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone in the form of skins and other details. There is still no official release date, but in social media, we have been able to see the first teaser of what will be the arrival of Space Marines to Call of Duty, genetically modified super-soldiers who are above normal humans and serve as an elite force to the Empire of Mankind. Also introduced are the Sisters of Battle, the military arm of the Empire’s religious branch that seeks to eradicate heresy throughout the Empire, and the Astra Militarum, the backbone of the Empire’s largest armies.

The announcement on social media for the new Call of Duty crossover reads: “Operators are only as strong as the oaths they uphold. Inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Astra Militarum skins and more are coming to Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare.″

Call of Duty and Collaborations

Crossovers have been a staple of the Call of Duty saga for several years now, with various sagas and famous works making their way through the game in collaborative mode. Doom or Shingeki no Kyojin have been seen in the game, and now it is Warhammer 40K’s turn.

The analysis made by our colleagues in Spain of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 concludes that “it has one of the worst campaigns in the history of the series and a zombie mode that we continue to call so out of pure courtesy, because any resemblance to those of yesteryear or with what we expected and wanted is pure coincidence. Only its multiplayer is saved, and although we are talking about a Call of Duty, it is worth asking how much merit it has. After all, the great successes of Online are the maps and a gameplay that responds to the slogan ‘back to the basics’. Every time the game tries something new or experiments, the result is disastrous.”
