Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is launching without an important PS5 feature, and fans are angry
For the second year in a row, the PS5 version of the newest Call of Duty (this time Black Ops 6) will not have one of the most important trophies available.
The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner and aims to be one of the most successful installments in the history of the saga. The game is not yet on the market and the absence of a feature is already causing anger in many players, and the worst thing is that there is a history of it and no attempt has been made to solve it. What is it all about? The version of the game on PlayStation 5 will not have a platinum trophy, while the PS4 one will.
What is the reason for this absence? The game’s launcher: Call of Duty HQ. The platform causes an absence of the platinum trophy on PS5 that already occurred with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and is happening again this year. Even if players get the game’s 44 trophies on PS5, they will not get platinum because the launcher integrates all the games in the franchise under a single app, and does not count those trophies independently. Will there be platinum on PS5 in this installment of the saga? Most likely not because of the integration of the game within Call of Duty HQ, but for future installments and given the response of the followers, it is expected that there will be a solution in the future that will allow us to obtain that platinum trophy that exists on PS4.
A new Call of Duty installment that seeks to change everything in the saga
Activision opted for a longer development time in this new Call of Duty installment to help create one of the best titles in the saga. When will it be available? We won’t have to wait long, as on Friday, October 25, the game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC users will have access to all game content from day one; while those with Game Pass Console will only be able to access the campaign, and if you have Game Pass Core you will have access to multiplayer and zombies.
