Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 confirms its release date and shows its cards to fight for the throne of the genre in 2025

The latest installment of the legendary action franchise wins over fans during Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live.

Update:

There were many things that everyone wanted to see during Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live. Resident Evil 9: Requiem, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and, of course, the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, a game that has just confirmed its release date (November 14) alongside a spectacular trailer. It will be coming soon to PC and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One) and is already available for pre-order. As usual, it will be included from day one in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, just like all games released under the Microsoft umbrella.

The price has also been announced, and if anyone was fearing the worst, which is quite logical given what has been happening in the industry in recent years, it is worth noting that Activision has decided to maintain the usual retail price. In other words, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will cost $69.99 for the standard edition. In addition, the game will feature an Archive Edition, which will cost $99.99. Campaign, multiplayer, zombies...

Characters such as Raul Menéndez and David Mason, among others, will return to the near future (2035) in which the world is on the brink of collapse and humanity is under threat from “a manipulative enemy who uses fear as a weapon.” A main campaign that, as you would expect, will cross over with both multiplayer and zombies, allowing players to develop all content organically as they play.

As for Black Ops 7 multiplayer, there will be 16 maps at launch, 3 of which will be classics from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, so we can expect 13 new ones on day one, which is no small number. One of the main attractions will be Skirmish mode, in which teams of up to 20 players will face off. Large-scale warfare is guaranteed.

As for the zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out more, but we can expect it to be the most ambitious release to date.
