Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 shows its first footage in explosive reveal trailer set in South Korea and reveals release date
Infinity Ward details a new campaign, alongside multiplayer tweaks and the return of DMZ.

This morning, Activision revealed what Infinity Ward has in store for 2026, offering a first look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 with an intense trailer that takes us to South Korea.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will feature three game modes. The Campaign will take us to two fronts: on one side, “A young squad of South Korean soldiers fights to survive on the collapsing front lines,” while on the other side of the world, “a vengeful Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows as he stays one step ahead of those hunting him”; another segment will take us to explore the North Korean side.
The ever-classic multiplayer mode features “grounded, precise combat where fluid movement, player choice, and greater control define every engagement.” In addition, there will be a major change to the bullet trajectory system, as well as a new 10v10 mode with randomly assigned weapons each round.

Finally, the DMZ mode, which appeared in Modern Warfare 2 (2022), will be returning, where players “operate as an off-the-books asset behind enemy lines, where every extraction run into contested territory forces hard choices about which objectives to pursue, what to secure, and when to get out.”
As the months go by, we’ll surely learn more about what to expect from this new installment in the Call of Duty franchise.
