Call of Duty MW2 and Warzone: every reward available for The Haunting’s Soul Capture event
The Haunting is finally back on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, and with it comes a new event and many rewards to collect. Here’s everything we know so far.
The Haunting, the now traditional Halloween event for Call of Duty that fills up the game with zombies, monsters, and all sort of spooky themes, is finally back on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. And as usual, alongside the scary operators come a variety of new modes to play and challenges to complete. And plenty of rewards to get.
The Haunting: Soul Capture rewards
Season 6′s challenges are being replaced by the Soul Capture events and Operation Nightmare (for Warzone), in which players will need to reap the souls of their enemies to unlock the many rewards available during the season. Anytime a player is eliminated in MW2 multiplayer matches or in Warzone, they’ll drop a Soul. Other players can pick this up, and they’ll be automatically added to their total count (without the need to visit a Buy Station in Warzone or DMZ).
These souls can then be traded for cosmetic items like weapon skins, charms, calling cards, and more. There are also rewards for unlocking a certain amount of trades, including exclusive skins for Roze and Konig. Below you’ll find a list of every reward currently available for trade with souls, with more promised throughout the event:
The Haunting daily Login rewards
As if that wasn’t enough, this edition of The Haunting will also give out rewards simply for logging into the game every day. Players can expect to receive a variety of free, limited-time cosmetic items simply by starting up their games as the event takes place.
CoD Warzone: The Haunting - Operation Nightmare brings new bounties to the battle royale
As mentioned above, Operation Nightmare is a new limited time mode that will have players hunting down eldritch anomalies across the map, facing off against a host of monstrous targets to clear a Bounty Board of terrors. One of these abominations is The Butcher from Diablo IV. Players will need to activate Altars of Lilith around the map to open a Nightmare Portal that leads to the monster, giving them a chance to defeat it.
Players that defeat The Butcher will unlock an exclusive calling card for Call of Duty MW2 or Warzone, as well as a claimable reward in Diablo IV. After completing all six of the Operation Nightmare bounties, they will also unlock a BAS-P Mastery Camo.
