Capcom plans to release an as-yet-unannounced major game before March 2024

The historic Japanese company is expected to release a major video game in the coming months, before the end of the current fiscal year.

A major Capcom game will be released before March 2024. So it appears in a question and answer section published by the Japanese company along with the presentation of the 2nd quarter financial results presented this week. Which game will it be? A prominent title that has not yet been announced, but is considered important and aims to be released before the end of the current fiscal year to help sales targets, sagas like Monster Hunter or Resident Evil are the first that come to mind.

The Game Awards will be held next December, so there is a possibility that the game will be announced during the gala. After an outstanding first half of the fiscal year, Capcom reported that it is on track to achieve 11 consecutive years of economic growth, and a major release in the final stretch would help it achieve even more. The top game this fiscal year is Street Fighter 6, which has already surpassed 2.47 million units sold, followed by the Resident Evil 4 Remake, which has sold a total of 5.45 million copies so far.
