Capcom Showcase 2023 summary: Everything Announced

If there’s one company that’s had a great year, it’s Capcom, and their latest releases back that up. After a successful Resident Evil 4 Remake and the recently released Street Fighter VI, it’s time to see if the next Exoprimal will be up to the level the company has shown us in recent years. This afternoon, Capcom set the stage for what’s to come, while also celebrating 40 years of history.

These are all the announcements of Capcom Showcase 2023:

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Previously revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, Capcom has given us a new look at Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Godess. The trailer shows off a bit more of the new franchise’s gameplay, as well as some extra details about this new title with a traditional japanese look and feel.

Mega Man X Dive Offline

Using Hunter Programs to rebuild key memories of the Mega Man X series, this title will allow you to play as characters from the franchise that have never been playable before. With over 100 characters to choose from you’ll be able to fight memorable bosses and hundreds of stages both new and classic. Mega Man X Dive Offline is coming in 2023 to Steam, iOS, and Android.

Street Fighter VI

The recently released Capcom fighting game showed off some of the things players can expect from the title. As an extra, it was confirmed that the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 tournament will include Street Fighter 6, as well as that the first place prize for it will be of 1 million dollars.

Resident Evil 4 Remake VR

The main game will now be fully playable on PlayStation VR 2, which will bring an even more immersive experience to the title. This VR Mode will be a free update for PlayStation VR 2, although there is still no release date.

Pragmata

With a quirky and extremely short trailer, Pragmata has announced another delay, this time to a still undisclosed date. However, this short teaser gave us our first look at actual gameplay, which involves shooting, melee combat, mechs, and more.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

The remaster of this title from the creator of Ace Attorney is just around the corner, and to ease the wait, it has been announced that a demo is now available for download. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be released on June 30th.

Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy

This unexpected trilogy will arrive in early 2024 with 3 titles, Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice. The collection will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Capcom 40th anniversary

Capcom Town was launched to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary, with games, voting and rewards for those who enter this special site.

Exoprimal

Exoprimal is also one of the titles that will be released soon and shows a new trailer with details of the story and this strange confrontation against dinosaurs. Exoprimal will be released on July 14th. A second open beta will be available from June 16 to 18, which will include some aspects of the story mode. Participants will receive a new gift for their participation.

Dragon’s Dogma II

Once again we have a trailer of Dragon’s Dogma II, which we saw a few weeks ago during the PlayStation Showcase. This game “inherits” some qualities from its previous release, being a single player game, with several NPCs or pawns that will make it feel like a cooperative game, and will have a gameplay with action RPG game mechanics in an open world. Throughout the game you will find new and old monsters, with new unique experiences for Dragon’s Dogma 2. For now, there is no release date, but it will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Steam.
