Cat falls asleep on keyboard: What appears on screen is simply perfect
Cats have been internet stars for years, thanks to funny videos like this one.
With all due respect to dogs, cats are probably the animals we see most often on social media. Millions of people around the world adore these furry creatures, and entire accounts on X, TikTok, and Instagram are dedicated solely to sharing cat memes, photos, and videos showing them in all kinds of situations. A perfect example is the clip below, where a woman records her cat fast asleep on her computer keyboard.
It was obvious that the cat’s body would end up pressing one or more keys—and just as obvious that whatever appeared on the screen would be super repetitive. But the funniest part? The cat’s face was resting on just one key: the letter Z. So the screen showed something like: “zzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ” (and it went on like that for a while). The repetition of the letter Z is often used as an onomatopoeia for snoring, which is why people use it in messages or chats to show they’re falling asleep or feeling tired. So in a way, the cat knew exactly what it was typing...
Cats sleep an average of 12 to 16 hours a day, and anyone who’s ever lived with one knows that it’s rare for a day to go by without them napping on just about any surface—tables, chairs, beds, shelves, appliances...By the way, did you know that August 8 is International Cat Day?
