CES 2025: Nvidia officially unveils RTX 5000 Blackwell
As part of the CES 2025 announcements, Nvidia took to one of the biggest stages at Mandalay Bay to unveil its new line of graphics cards.
The conferences at CES 2025 continue and one of the most anticipated was that of Nvidia. With the presence of Jensen Huang, CEO of the company, the rumors about the new line of video cards have been clarified, presenting the new RTX 5000 with the Blackwell architecture.
With an intro showing the potential of artificial intelligence, from generative aspects, robotics, environment and even health issues, Jensen Huang welcomed us to show the whole path that artificial intelligence has had through GPUs.
Huang touched on the history of their processors using Virtua Fighter, one of the first SEGA titles to take advantage of their first hardware. Over time, the evolution of these cards gave way to what we know today as artificial intelligence, where GPUs process the neural networks generated by machine learning. According to Jensen, this has led to us learning more about the world around us and being able to recreate it.
The first demo shown was to demonstrate the power of the new DLSS 4, which introduces multi-frame generation. The video showed a large stage starting to generate through text. This scenario was generated three frames ahead of what was displayed, increasing performance by 8 times over traditional rendering. With this, it manages to generate 33 million pixels computed from only 2 that the artificial intelligence is rendering, making it more efficient generation through this technique, than simple rendering. This is the power of Nvidia’s new architecture.
Welcome to Blackwell Architecture, Configuration and Pricing:
The basic configuration of the Blackwell Architecture is as follows:
How does it compare in terms of price? The RTX 4090, which Nvidia considered its fastest GPU, came out at $1,599. Now, the RTX 5070, the entry-level GPU, will arrive with the same performance at a price of $549. The pricing is as follows and will be available in January:
Laptops with these integrated cards will also be available in March at these prices:
