Christopher Nolan is changing gears with his next movie pointing toward a different kind of genre
The director behind ‘Interstellar’, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Inception’, and ‘Oppenheimer’ is switching genres with its next big project.
“Christopher Nolan is a franchise in himself.” Analyst Jeff Bock’s definition is quite interesting, since the truth is that talking about Nolan’s new movie is talking about something capable of generating very high levels of expectation. Matt Damon will be the protagonist of a film that will move away from science fiction, according to sources from Variety media, so you can expect something very different from ‘Interstellar’, ‘Inception’ and ‘Tenet’, among others.
There is speculation that Nolan’s new film will bet on espionage, a genre that he has not yet experimented with. Of course, it is advisable to make it clear that although the filmmaker would like to, as he has expressed on more than one occasion, it will not be the next James Bond movie. Of course, we will have to wait to know the details, although the release date is already on the table: July 2026.
Nolan’s best movies
Whenever you review the filmography of such an active—and successful—director, the same thing happens: it is very difficult to choose just one. ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Interstellar’, ‘Inception’, ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Memento’...There are many and practically all of them have very positive reviews, so there is no choice but to resort to an infallible method such as taking a look at IMDb and trying to list Christopher Nolan’s best movies.
