CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies reveals new Terminus team and story details

Round-based Zombies is coming back with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and we finally have our first look at the mode and the characters that will star in it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to arrive later this year, and while many things have been said about the main game, its multiplayer modes, and the revolutionary Omnimovement system that could change how the game is played entirely (or at the very least, raise the skill bar pretty high), we’ve only received vague teases about the fan favorite Zombies Mode. But that changes today.

Activision released a trailer comprised of the opening cinematic for the mode, which also serves as an introduction to the cast of characters that comprise Team Terminus: the remnants of the Requiem crew from Black Ops Cold War that fought alongside Agent Samantha Maxis to close the Dark Aether rifts in that game’s Zombies campaign. However, this new story takes place in 1991, more than half a decade after said group was betrayed and incarcerated, but now an old foe is here to make an uneasy alliance.

Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox (better known by his callsign, Raptor One) are the surviving members of Requiem that will join Dr. William Peck and newcomer Maya Aguinaldo to form team Terminus, with a shared mission of not only facing off against new Dark Aether incursions but searching for and taking revenge on none other than Edward Richtofen.

The trailer also reveals that the first map of the mode will be Terminus, the Filipino prison where this new crew takes its name and which has come under an incursion just moments after they’re broken out of their cells. However, the Call of Duty blog also teases another incursion happening at the same time, all the way on the other side of the world, in the West Virginian town of Liberty Falls. This could very well mean that there is yet another team of characters waiting to be revealed later down the line.

Fortunately, the trailer also reveals that we’ll get a deeper look into Zombies on August 8, at 8 am PT. We won’t have to wait much longer to find out more about the long-awaited return of round-based Zombies.
