What will happen at the Daft Punk concert in Fortnite?
Although the community has referred to this musical event as a concert on numerous occasions, Epic Games itself has clarified that it is not a concert as such, but rather a musical experience to commemorate the legacy of the legendary French group. It is titled Daft Punk Experience. In other words, it will be a highly elaborate Creative map where we will be able to interact with these artists and listen to several of their most iconic songs.
As if that weren’t enough, the two artists from the group will also be landing in the Fortnite store with their own outfits and accessories. The following items will be available starting September 26 at 8:00 PM ET.
- GM08 Outfit (Fortnite Style + LEGO Style!) - A little bit human.
- Gold Battery Back Bling - Discover something bold.
- Get Lucky Emote - Feeling lucky.
- Daft Punk Wrap - Rhythm worn.
- TB3 Outfit (Fortnite Style + LEGO Style!) - Build a universe.
- Silver Battery Back Bling - Discover something new.
- Around the World Emote - It goes round and round.
- Daft Punk Future Wrap - A neon daydream.
There are also other musical accessories from the group, and songs, some of them featuring The Weeknd:
- Daft Punk Double-Neck Guitar
- Take Five Bass
- Track ‘Get Lucky’
- Track ‘Instant Crush’
- Track ‘I Feel It Coming’
- Track ‘Starboy’
Daft Punk’s musical experience in Fortnite is a golden opportunity for fans of the French duo: they officially split up in February 2021, and both Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo went their separate ways. Although the group is not coming back, it could be a great nostalgic hook for their fans over the last three decades. Only time will tell if they will collaborate again, or lend their image—and music—to virtual events of this kind.
