Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy’s collab: Everything we know

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, Dead by Daylight has announced they’re finally making a crossover.

Five Nights at Freddy's

It’s only taken ten long years for it to happen, but after all this time we’re finally getting Five Nights at Freddy’s in Dead by Daylight!... in about a year’s time from now.

Announced as part of the franchise’s 10th-anniversary celebrations that have been going on recently (which include a teaser for an upcoming title in the series focusing on the Mimic), the developers of DbD announced on their official Twitter/X account that the two horror games would be joining forces to bring the series together in some way. However, they announcement was actually a pretty small teaser in the form of a simple image with both of the game’s logos side by side, and nothing more aside from confirmation that it’ll take place in summer of 2025.

That is one whole year that fans of the games will have to wait for any kind of details as to what this collaboration will bring with it, as right now DBD seems to be more focused on their many crossovers happening right now, like the recently revealed Castlevania crossover that bring Dracula as a new killer in the game and Trevor Belmont as another survivor. This announcement was made almost immediately after the FNAF announcement, which means that fans of that series that were hoping for some more information were left out in the rain.

The only certain thing for now is that some sort of crossover is going to happen, which means at least one of the animatronics from FNAF could be set to make an appearance in Dead by Daylight in 2025. Fans are already theorizing if it’ll be the titular Freddy Fazbear the one who makes an appearance, but as they’re used to hidden teases and ARGs they’re already turning every stone possible and trying to find hints of anything else in the image. Some even believe that they see Springtrap hidden in the darkness in the image’s background, so who knows what it could be.
