Dead by Daylight brings Xenomoprhs to the game in long-awaited Alien collaboration

Fans of Dead By Daylight get ready to scream in space, as a collaboration with Scott Ridley’s classic sci-fi horror series, Alien, is announced.

Update:
Dead by Daylight brings Xenomoprhs to the game in long-awaited Alien collaboration

It seems like no one is able to stop Dead by Daylight, as their collaborations just keep getting bigger and bigger. After bringing in Nicholas Cage himself to the game as a playable survivor, the developers at Behaviour Interactive have just announced a collaboration with the Alien series.

This was announced by the developers themselves through a short teaser you can watch above these lines, which unmistakably shows the gritty retro sci-fi hallways of a derelict ship, with the Alien title slowly appearing on the screen, and a Xenomorph jumping towards its prey. The teaser also reveals that more information will be revealed at a later date, on August 8.

As such, no more details have been revealed about this crossover, but it seems like the collaboration may include a new map based on the Nostromo, the ship were the events of the first movie take place. And while there’s no confirmation of the Xenomorph being a new playable Killer, it’d be safe to bet on it becoming one with this new event. Will we also see Ellen Ripley as well as a survivor?

Dead by Daylight hits the big time

Behaviour Interactive’s game has been killing it for the past few years. Not only have they managed to secure a huge amount of horror collaborations since its release in 2016, including names as huge as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Stranger Things, and even Resident Evil, but they’ve also expanded their audience to unexpected reaches.

This year, it was revealed that the game would be getting its own movie thanks to Blumhouse and James Wan. “In ‘Dead by Daylight’ the Behaviour team has created a love letter to the world of horror, building an incredible environment teeming with atmosphere and terrifying villains — perfect for a scary cinematic adaptation,” said Wan. “We’re big fans of the game at Atomic Monster, and are thrilled to be teaming up with Blumhouse to bring this frighteningly visceral world to the big screen.”
