Dead supermodels and a disease that makes people more beautiful: ‘The Beauty’ aims to be the first big series of 2026
Ryan Murphy, creator of ‘American Horror Story’, is behind this promising project.

To talk about 'American Horror Story’ is to talk about one of the most acclaimed horror series of the 21st century. That’s why fans of the genre shouldn’t overlook the following name: ‘The Beauty,’ the new series from Ryan Murphy, its creator. It’s an 11-episode show that will premiere on January 21, 2026, on Hulu, with a truly disturbing plot premise.
On the one hand, authorities warn that several supermodels from different countries have died in strange—and horrific—circumstances. One might think that there is a serial killer dedicated to murdering them, but what is happening elsewhere at the same time is even more sinister: it turns out that there is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that transforms its victims into beautiful people!
Apparently, the series bears similarities to Demi Moore’s ‘The Substance,’ as the synopsis also mentions a billionaire tycoon working on the development of a strange drug. Could there be a connection between that and the deaths? Everyone wants to be attractive, but at what price?
Among the cast we have Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope, with guest appearances including Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Jaquel Spivey, Jessica Alexander, Jon Jon Briones, John Carroll Lynch, Julie Halston, Lux Pascal, Meghan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Peter Gallagher, Vincent D’Onofrio and Rob Yang.
