‘Deadpool and Wolverine’: who’s behind Lady Deadpool’s mask?
We finally know the identity of the one behind the mask of Lady Deadpool, despite her face being covered the entire time
After months of speculation about who was hiding behind the mask of Lady Deadpool -the female variant of the Merc with a Mouth that appears in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’-, her identity has finally been revealed with the premiere of the film. And we don’t know it because the character reveals her face; which she doesn’t. Her identity has been confirmed thanks to the credits.
Although many were betting on a famous pop singer close to the circle of friends of its protagonists, the person in charge of giving life to the character is someone even closer to Ryan Reynolds. We warn of spoilers about ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ starting in the following paragraph.
Lady Deadpool’s true identity
And in the last third of the film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, Cassandra Nova summons the help of dozens and dozens of variants of the Mercenary with a Mouth from the multiverse, so that they hunt down our Deadpool and his new adventure buddy Wolverine. Said Deadpool Corps is headed by a very special variant of the character: Lady Deadpool.
During these last months there has been speculation that the famous singer Taylor Swift would make her cameo like this, even showing her face for a few seconds; or even the same Ryan Reynolds with a blonde ponytail and heels, in addition to other names such as Morena Baccarin or Bella Thorne. Finally, it has not been like that, since Ladypool was played by Blake Lively, who is Ryan Reynolds’ wife in real life.
This was confirmed by the credits of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, in addition to the ‘Gossip Girl’ actress’s own appearance in the premiere of the movie dressed in a spectacular red suit that aimed to capture the essence of his character in the film. Lively even published a series of images on her Instagram account narrating her relationship with said Marvel character.
