Demi Moore recalls Tom Cruise’s most awkward moment during a Hollywood shoot: “Tom was quite embarrassed”

It is well known that Demi Moore has always regretted missing the opportunity to work alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun, but not many people know the curious story behind the filming of ‘A Few Good Men,’ the movie in which she finally shared the screen with Cruise. Last Saturday, the American actress and model attended The New Yorker Festival 2025 and shared an anecdote that left no one indifferent.

It turns out that Demi Moore was eight months pregnant when she was about to read several lines from the script alongside the actor and Rob Reiner, director of ‘A Few Good Men’. Moore believes that Tom Cruise “was embarrassed” and that, although she “felt fine” at all times, she noticed that “he [Cruise] felt that it was a bit awkward.”

The actress has also reflected on the fact that, at that time, it was normal for many Hollywood actresses to “choose between pursuing a career and being a mother,” a scenario that meant Cruise was not used to working with pregnant women. She also says that she always had a very clear stance on the issue: “Why not? Why can’t you have both?”
