‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle Arc’ now has a Japanese release date

The long-awaited sequel to ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ finally has a release date in Japan. During a special event dedicated to the anime announced a few days ago, it was revealed when the first part of the Infinity Castle Arc will be released.

Infinity Castle will open its doors this summer

A new promotional video has confirmed that the movie adapting the Infinity Castle arc will be released in Japan on July 18. The official announcement was made in a special YouTube broadcast on March 1, featuring the voice actors who bring Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to life. As previously announced, this arc will be covered in a trilogy of films that will conclude Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga adaptation and tell the story of the final battle between Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Demon Slayers.

When will it arrive in the rest of the world?

Although an exact date for the international release has not yet been confirmed, the movie is expected to arrive in other countries shortly after its release in Japan. Given the worldwide success of Demon Slayer, international distribution is usually fast, so it is likely that fans outside of Japan will be able to see it in theaters by the end of 2025. It should be noted that distribution is handled by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Some rumors point to a September release for regions outside of Japan, although this has not been officially confirmed. It is also possible that the movie will be released later on streaming platforms such as Crunchyroll, which have broadcast the previous seasons. However, we will have to wait for official announcements from the distributors to know the exact details of its arrival in each country.
