Update:

The historic run of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle’ in theaters has come to an end. Now a new chapter begins for ufotable’s blockbuster hit, which is set to arrive in homes around the world, starting with the Japanese market. On July 29, the film will be released on home video in Japan, on both Blu-ray and DVD, in a meticulously crafted physical edition packed with bonus content.

The edition will feature a cover starring Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka, illustrated in an original artwork by Akira Matsushima, the film’s character designer and chief animation director. The set comes in a special three-panel box featuring illustrations of some of the film’s most important battles: Shinobu Kocho vs. Doma, Zenitsu Agatsuma vs. Kaigaku, and the showdown between Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka vs. Akaza.

A physical format for which international release plans are still unknown

The home video release will include a total of two discs dedicated to the soundtrack: one featuring the version used in theaters and another with a stereo mix. In addition, there will be a disc with bonus content and another containing the full-length film. The set is rounded out by a special booklet in which the production team and cast detail the creative process and share their impressions of the film, as well as a 16-page fold-out booklet with additional material.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle’ remained in theaters in Japan for nine months, marking a historic run that looks set to continue with the release of the next two films that will complete the trilogy. At this time, no details or release dates have been announced for these films.
