‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ season 4 confirms the number of episodes and will be the shortest season of the anime
The Hashira Training will only consist of 8 chapters, will end in about a month and will be at the gates of the Infinity Castle.
Even though Season 4 of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ is just around the corner (it will premiere on Crunchyroll on May 12, 2024), it looks like it’s going to be short. It has just been confirmed that it will only have 8 episodes, making it the shortest of the anime. The first was 26, the second 18, and the third 11. The downward trend continues and it will be finished on June 30th.
It is true that the season will cover the Hashira training arc, which only consists of 9 chapters in the manga, and it is also true that not so much time has passed since the previous arc, which ended in the summer of 2023, but the feeling of existential emptiness will reach a historic high when everything is left at the gates of Infinity Castle.
To make matters worse, the first chapter of this fourth season was already included in the last movie of the series, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Hashira Training’. This means that if you went to the theater to watch it, you will probably only be interested in 6 or 7 of those 8 chapters. In the new season, the Demon Slayer Corps will be training with their top swordsmen, the Pillars, to prepare for the upcoming battle with Muzan.
Where does the ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ anime in relation to the manga?
