Denzel Washington makes history with 'Gladiator 2' and tops his epic record

The actor had never starred in a movie that was so successful at the box office, despite having two Oscars and sagas like ‘The Equalizer’ behind him.

He’s made it clear. Denzel Washington is thinking about retiring from movies and has started his farewell tour. The actor has decided to participate only and exclusively in 5 projects that motivate him and after them, he will lower the shutter. Although sad, the truth is that the tour has not started badly. With ‘Gladiator 2′ he managed to break the box office record of his career and from now on it can be said that he has never worked in such a successful production. Neither ‘Training Day’ nor ‘Glory’, for which he won his two Oscars, reached the numbers of Ridley Scott’s sequel. Neither did ‘The Equalizer’ series, whose numbers are anything but bad. At 69, Washington seems to want to say goodbye the way only the greats do: with style. Will he have one more project in the top 10 before he retires from acting?
