Denzel Washington revealed why he accepted his ‘Gladiator 2’ role: ‘There are very few films left for me’

Thus, Washington, who will play the ruthless arms dealer Macrinus, has explained the main reason why he accepted this role in ‘Gladiator 2′, ensuring that Ridley Scott has been a key piece: “There are very few films left for me to make that I’m interested in, and I have to be inspired by the filmmaker, and I was tremendously inspired by Ridley. We had a great go-round the first go-round [on American Gangster], and here we are.”

‘Gladiator 2′, which opens in theaters on November 15, 2024, continues the epic of power, intrigue, and revenge set in Ancient Rome.
