Design flaw? Pokémon GO is full of events and its interface seems to give constant errors
Pokémon GO’s event interface, too crowded?

Pokémon GO is celebrating in a big way, with a lot of events happening at the same time. This may sound incredible to the millions of players still roaming the streets, beaches or anywhere with an internet signal catching Pokémon. However, with so many simultaneous events, the events section within the app feels more loaded than it should.
This weekend, Pokémon GO will be packed with activities: from GO Fest, Ancients Recovered temporary research with encounters from all the Regis and legendary birds of Galar, to Eevee Community Day, coming in a week. All of this is happening as the current season continues and the game’s ninth anniversary approaches.
Too much information for one tab
The problem, according to some players, is that the amount of information on the events page can be overwhelming. While this section exists to keep track of what’s available and what’s coming up, with so many events running in parallel, it can be difficult to organize your in-game activities and tasks.
Currently, the space is perceived as an endless list of things to do. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but the real conflict is in how the information is presented. If a player wants to look up something specific, they have to navigate the entire list until they find it. A possible solution would be to implement subtabs or categories, although this could also make some events or tasks go unnoticed.

Perhaps Pokémon GO needs a revamp of its user interface. However, it seems unlikely that Niantic would implement such a change just for one particularly active season. Beyond considering it a problem, perhaps the community should see it as a “happy problem”: after almost nine years, the game is still as alive and strong as ever, with plenty to do.
