Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle is one of the major phenomena in the world of anime in movie theaters, except the adaptation of Chainsaw Man. Crunchyroll’s strong message to those who are unsure about waiting to watch the movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” on Crunchyroll
“Go see [Demon Slayer Infinity Castle] in the theater because the theater is the only place you’re going to be able to see this film in 2025,” said Mitchel Berger, executive vice president of global commerce at Crunchyroll, in an interview with The Pop Verse. “If you want to see it, go see it in the theater because that’s the only place it’s going to be available.”
The executive makes it clear that the film is not scheduled to debut in the Crunchyroll catalog for the remainder of 2025. It will miss out on the momentum of the holidays and New Year’s celebrations to give exclusivity to its recent theatrical release. It is a firm and confident bet by those responsible to boost box office figures. The truth is that it is not going badly for them at all.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle has become the highest-grossing anime film release in the United States. In its first weekend, it grossed over $70 million, doubling the previous record holder: the first Pokémon movie from 1999, which grossed $32 million.
