‘Dragon Ball’ already has more plans beyond ‘Daima’, with producers currently brainstorming ideas

The producers behind the Dragon Ball franchise are already working on new stories and ideas to continue the saga after Dragon Ball Daima and Super.

On Friday, October 11, ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ is finally premiering. However, it seems that the people responsible for the franchise are not planning on stopping after the fact, as they are already planning new stories beyond ‘Daima’. Currently, the brand created by Akira Toriyama is in full “brainstorming” mode, all to bring fans new adventures of Goku and company.

‘Dragon Ball’ has a lot of future ahead of it

The CEO of Capsule Corporation Tokyo, Akio Iyoku, promised at the beginning of this year at least ten years more of new adventures for Goku and company, even with the setbacks related to the franchise’s rights between the former editor-in-chief of ‘Dragon Ball’ and Shueisha. Even so, one of its top producers assures that they are working on new ideas for upcoming ‘Dragon Ball’ animated series beyond ‘Daima’:

“We are still developing several plans, exchanging ideas with many things, and moving forward. I want to continue giving everything together with Nozawa,” assured Iyoku in reference to voice actress Masako Nozawa, Goku’s voice in his original language since the beginning of the anime in the 80s and who has lent her voice to the famous Saiyan in hundreds of anime episodes, OVAs, video games and more.

And although Iyoku does not confirm any specific project in particular beyond ‘Dragon Ball Daima’, it seems evident that the machinery will not stop after this new anime series, even more so if we take into account that the anime of ‘Dragon Ball Super’ was halted until further notice even though the manga continued with new story arcs. A manga which, by the way, remains on hiatus after Toriyama’s death earlier this year, although Toyotaro hopes to soon return to his usual work as an illustrator.

Will they continue with the new arcs of Dragon Ball Super, which have not yet been adapted to anime? Maybe a remake of Goku’s first adventures with current technology just as Netflix has done with ‘Ranma 1/2′? Or will they continue to expand the lore of the saga through new movies after ‘Super Hero’?
