Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO confirms date and content of upcoming DLCs

Next year will see the arrival of 20 new characters from the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and the anime Dragon Ball Daima.

Dragon Ball

It is customary for titles based on Akira Toriyama’s popular manga and anime to include a wealth of extra content, and Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO will be no exception. Thanks to the game’s Steam page, we now know what to expect in the coming months... and even when.

The first of these content packs will arrive as early as the first quarter of 2025 and will feature characters from the movie ‘Dragon Ball Super: Superhero’. Meanwhile, the next two will feature characters and content from the new anime that everyone is buzzing about, ‘Dragon Ball Daima’. These will be released in the first quarter of 2025 and the second quarter of 2025. Each pack can be purchased separately, but all three are part of the Season Pass included in the game’s most expensive editions, the Deluxe and Ultimate.

It is not yet known what specific content will be included with each of the DLCs, but the Season Pass artwork all but confirms that Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 will be among the 20 characters arriving in the coming months, as well as Orange Piccolo, Cell Max or Gohan Beast.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO, the fan’s dream game

It’s not even officially out yet, and Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO has already surpassed Dragon Ball FighterZ in terms of players, and that is just counting those playing the game in Early Access. This just goes to show how eagerly anticipated Spike Chunsoft’s game was, and how the game’s preference for simpler combat is a far cry from the much deeper approach of Arc System Works’ title.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO is now available for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
