Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake details new content and how it expands the world and story of the original

Dragon Quest III HD-2D is bringing back one of the most legendary RPGs of all time, and it seems like things just keep getting better.

On November 14th we’ll be able to enjoy Dragon Quest III in its best version to date. For many the most mythical installment of the saga, with an enormous legacy in Japan where Dragon Quest is the undisputed king of the RPG, and Square Enix continues to show news about a title that, with what it offers as a base, is already complete, but to which they do not stop adding new content with which to delve deeper into the adventure.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will have a new episode that will focus on Ortega, the hero of Aliahan and the father of the protagonist of the main adventure. This new addition will allow us to understand better his figure and the quest to rid the world of the archenemy Baramos, having to abandon his beloved wife and his little baby with one of the most dramatic endings of the saga. The story will also include new enemies that will further enrich the gaming experience.

A completely renewed world in Dragon Quest III

The best version to date of the Enix classic will offer us a completely remade world in Square Enix’s fantastic HD-2D engine. Each of the regions has its own culture and traditions. From the seafaring nation of Portoga, one of the world’s key trading points; going by Jipang, known as the Land of the Rising Sun; and also Ibis, a kingdom in the middle of the desert ruled by a queen famous for her beauty.

In our impressions of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, it was highlighted that “the developers have outlined a product that feels classic at the controls, but that at the same time incorporates the necessary options to modernize the experience.”
