Dragon’s Dogma 2 players can’t start a new game on PC: What to do?

The newly released title from Capcom has arrived with some bugs that have annoyed users of the game. Problems in starting new games, micropayments and more.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated titles of this month and finally, it arrived today on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X\S. Capcom’s RPG has been long awaited, but like any big release in recent years, although it has done very well among critics, some players have encountered some problems that have made you can not fully enjoy this title.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 can’t start a new game

One of the most annoying bugs is that you cannot start a new game if you have already started another one. This means that if you want to start it again, you have to manually delete it from the corresponding Steam folder, although things get more complicated if autosave is enabled. Some users have disabled this option and then deleted the game.

A rather complicated plan on the part of the users. Fortunately, Capcom has already announced that they are planning a patch that will make it easier to start a new game.

Other reasons for the “mixed” reviews on PC

As already mentioned, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has not fared badly in the reviews of the specialized press. Currently, its average score on Metacritic is between 86 and 90. The curious thing is that although the PC version is the best-reviewed, its Steam page shows the opposite, as users are not so happy with the port, showing an overall rating of “mixed.” As expected, the reaction is not due to the lack of quality of Capcom’s work, but rather to a lack of optimization... among other problems.

Most of the comments agree that the game’s optimization is not optimal, and that it suffers from unstable framerate, crashes, and other problems and bugs. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for PC ports of titles to suffer from these kinds of problems, so we will have to wait for Capcom to release the appropriate patches.

In addition to the PC performance, players have also complained about the amount of micropayments included in the game. Of course, everything can be obtained by playing, so it is an easy shortcut.
