Dune: Part 2 raises weapons of vengeance in a new action-packed trailer

Paul Atreides fulfills his prophecy of vengeance with all-out war on Arrakis in Dune: Part 2, and there’s a new trailer to tide you over until release.

Dune: Part 2 gets ready for war in a trailer that leaves fans breathless. The video, which you can see below, shows off three minutes of some of the most important moments of this new chapter of the Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation. Arrakis raises its arms in one of the most anticipated films of 2023. You won’t have to wait long to see it: it will be released in theaters on November 3.

What can we expect from Dune: Part 2?

As revealed by Universal in its official description, this second part “will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee”

The film is once again directed by Denis Villeneuve, who also writes the script with Jon Spaihts based on Frank Herbert’s novel. Production started on July 18, 2022, a filming that has expanded around the planet . Budapest, Jordan, Italy, and Abu Dhabi have been the destinations chosen to represent the sea of sand of the deserts that characterize the franchise.

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya return leading the cast as Paul Atreides and Chani, respectively. New big-name actors make their debut on the license, such as veteran Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV. The cast is completed with Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica Atreides), Josh Brolin (Gurney Halleck), Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan Corrino), Dave Bautista (Glossu Rabban Harkonnen), Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot). ), Javier Bardem (Stilgar), Stellan Skarsgard (Vladimir Harkonnen), Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley Henderson, among many others.
