EA SPORTS FC 24 on Nintendo Switch takes a graphical leap forward in its first trailer

For EA SPORTS FC 24, Nintendo Switch says goodbye to the Legacy Edition.

EA SPORTS FC 24 premieres with great news for fans on Nintendo Switch. After several years in which the FIFA saga raised the banner of the Legacy Edition on the Japanese console, its new era brings with it important updates. The first and most obvious one is in the visual department: from this year on, it will use the Frostbite graphics engine, the same as the rest of the console versions.

EA SPORTS FC 24 gets serious with Nintendo Switch

The news is important to the community behind the game. So far, each of the game’s editions came to Nintendo Switch as a mere roster update. With EA SPORTS FC 24, it will be the first time the franchise will run the Frostbite engine natively on the hybrid.

However, there are some limitations. The new version of Hypermotion will be exclusive to current-generation consoles and PC. Although the artificial intelligence processes are not the same, this version will incorporate other new features of this year, such as the “Opta-optimized” PlayStyles, a system that transmits the way each player plays to the video game world.

EA SPORTS FC 24 on Nintendo Switch will include the rest of the classic aspects already seen in the other editions. We are referring to Ultimate Team (from FUT we will move to just UT), the career mode, clubs, and VOLTA FOOTBALL, among others. Nintendo’s official website states that the digital version of the game requires a download of 12.7 GB, so it is advisable to install it directly on an SD drive.

Remember that EA SPORTS FC 24 will go on sale next year on September 29th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A few days earlier, on September 22nd, Early Access will begin for players who purchase the Ultimate Edition.
