EA Sports FC 25 is missing 2 Champions League teams: Why they're missing and which players and stadiums are affected
Although the Electronic Arts game has hundreds of official licenses, two major European football teams are missing.
EA SPORTS FC 25 will be released next year on September 27th (one week earlier for Ultimate Edition buyers) for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. As is the case with every new season that Electronic Arts tackles, the game will feature the official licenses of numerous competitions and clubs: EA Sports LaLiga, Ligue One, Bundesliga, Eredivisie, Premier League... However, there are two major European teams that will not be in the game: AC Milan and Inter Milan.
EA Sports FC 25 will once again feature both Roma and Napoli, but has lost both AC Milan and Inter Milan, teams that will be exclusive to eFootball. However, EA’s title retains the FIFPro rights, so every single player from both clubs will be present. What will not be in the game are their shields, kits, official names, and the San Siro / Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
San Siro / Giuseppe Meazza, Champions League territory
Although it is true that both clubs are not having their best moments and are trying to rebuild themselves to conquer the highest continental competition again, it should not be forgotten that both AC Milan and Inter are two great European football history. In fact, AC Milan is still the team with the second most European Cups to its name (7), behind only Real Madrid (15). The last of these came in 2007 with a 2-1 win over Liverpool when the Rossoneri were coached by Carlo Ancelotti.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, have won the UEFA Champions League three times. The first two came in 1964 and 1965, while the third and most recent came much later, in 2010, with Portuguese coach José Mourinho at the helm.
