Electronic Arts welcomes us to the club and presents its new proposal of one of the most famous titles, but now without the FIFA license.
EA Sports FC 24 will be the next football game from EA Sports and to know all the details we traveled to the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. This title will be released on September 29, 2023, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, (with an early access on September 22) and presents the new direction that the brand is looking for interactive football.
The presentation was opened by Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, followed by Cam Weber, President of EA Sports, who recounted the DNA of the game, which will feature more than 300 licenses.
EA Sports FC looks to the future of soccer fans
The game is built on a shared story. A multi-generational game created for fans, by fans, that aims to be a global platform for players, athletes, experts, clubs, friends and families. The development team has sought to bring together people with the same passion, a common language, and a vision that wants to blur the lines between the digital and the physical through this video game.
This new chapter, more than a technological evolution, wants to be an experience where you can interact, play, live, and breathe one of the most played sports in the world: football.
The 4 Pillars of EA Sports FC
Experience and Innovation
EA Sports FC will have an evolution of the main modes to create safer environments, the launch of this new IP represents for EA the innovation of its business model.
Focus on the fans
Noting that it is not possible to become a fan favorite by misunderstanding the audience, EA emphasizes its work to recognize the opportunities and needs of gamers around the world.
Expanding the ecosystem
The growth of women’s soccer is a sign that there is more room for soccer to expand. Through strategic partnerships, equal access, and sports entertainment, EA Sports FC aims to expand and evolve the video game ecosystem powered by real and virtual soccer.
The EA SPORTS FC Franchise
EA SPORTS FC is now a series of interconnected interactive experiences. In fact, they even produced a book to capture this evolution. It provides an in-depth understanding of what the franchise stands for.
The DNA
EA SPORTS FC aims to be the most accurate real football simulation ever created, with over 19,000 players, over 700 teams, over 100 stadiums, and 30 officially licensed leagues in the game. However, its authenticity aims to be more than licenses, simulation, and player likenesses. The celebrations, the chants, the haircuts, the clothes, the tattoos, the pre-game press conferences, and the informal post-game interviews.
They want that authenticity to come through every moment with creativity and competence on and off the field.
Hypermotion V
It will be the technology that directly captures the gameplay experience to make it more realistic within EA Sports FC.
Visual continuity
Frostbite will give continuity to the game with three main axes: EA Sports Sapien, a kind of engine that seeks to make the game more congruent, the GPU cloth to have more realism in the uniforms, and the match day experience.
Another of the features are the Play Styles, which interprets at the game level the best play depending on the type of player that has the ball.
FC Online will launch in September as part of the Asian Games, the first time video games have been considered a sport.
FC Pro simplifies the tournament structure with an Esports platform built with strategic partners and professional players.
