Konami has launched the “Nostalgia” campaign on eFootball, a global celebration commemorating the 30th anniversary of the iconic series that began its legacy as Winning Eleven (PES) on July 21, 1995.

This campaign invites eFootball fans to relive the golden era of virtual soccer with a modern twist. Discover classic player models that recreate the first generation of the series, taking you straight back to the origins of the franchise. Starting today through July 10, the “Nostalgia” campaign on eFootball offers a variety of limited-time content designed to pay homage to the franchise’s roots, while providing new gameplay experiences for veteran players and new users alike.
Key points of the campaign
- Time Attack Event: Here you can test your skills by racing against the clock and scoring goals with classic polygonal player models. Earn essential rewards to strengthen your Dream Team while enjoying an injection of soccer nostalgia.
- Return of legendary players: Football icons such as Adriano, Roberto Baggio and Gerard Piqué return to the pitch as exclusive “Epic” cards. These soccer legends are available for a limited time only, allowing you to build an intergenerational dream team.
- 30th Anniversary “Big Time” Offers: Celebrate in style with offers that unlock rare cards, including special 30th Anniversary editions to power up your Dream Team in eFootball.
- Special Login Bonuses: players who log in daily during the campaign will receive exclusive rewards such as eFootball Coins, EXP, training programs and a 30th Anniversary Commemorative Badge, a thank you and tribute to the series’ immense legacy.
eFootball World Festival in Tokyo and World Finals 2025
As the eFootball 30th Anniversary campaign moves forward, KONAMI will take the celebration into the real world with the first eFootball World Festival in Tokyo, taking place on July 21 at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden. Fans in attendance will be able to enjoy playable demos, exciting live matches and exclusive giveaways.
The main event of the day will be the eFootball series’ 30th Anniversary Special Event, along with the highly anticipated eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals. Both events will be streamed live in nine languages, allowing fans from around the world to join in this great celebration.
Special 30th Anniversary eFootball Series Event
To commemorate three decades of the eFootball series, KONAMI will host a special event with big announcements, including new in-game licenses and details about the ongoing celebrations. Special guests including Riku Hagiwara, Jon Kabira and many more will be in attendance.
The highlight of the competitive world of eFootball comes with the World Finals, where the best player on the planet will be crowned. A total of 32 elite competitors (16 console and 16 mobile) will gather in Shibuya, Tokyo, after qualifying in the eFootball Championship 2025 Open and the exclusive Club Event, where partner clubs nominate their representatives.
After the group stage on Sunday, July 20, the best will compete in front of a live audience for the ultimate title, the eFootball World Champion.
