Elden Ring Nightreign brings back the Everdark Sovereigns: dates, tips, and how to prepare
The Everdark Sovereigns are back in Nightreign, offering time-limited boss fights, rare Relics, and a brutal test of your build.

Elden Ring: Nightreign continues its roguelite evolution with the return of Everdark Sovereigns: enhanced versions of the game’s Day 3 Nightlords. These limited-time boss encounters rotate weekly and offer Sovereign Sigils, a rare currency used to unlock powerful Relics at the Roundtable Hold.
July 2025 Everdark Sovereign schedule
Each pair of Nightlords is available for one week, with new rotations every Wednesday:
- July 10–17: Gaping Jaw (Adel) & Darkdrift Knight (Fulghor)
- July 17–24: Sentient Pest (Gnoster) & Darkdrift Knight (Fulghor)
- July 24–31: Gaping Jaw (Adel) & Sentient Pest (Gnoster)
To access these fights, you must have previously defeated the base version of each Nightlord.
Tips for surviving Everdark Sovereigns
These bosses are significantly harder than their standard counterparts, with new mechanics, faster combos, and altered weaknesses. Here’s how to prepare:
- Know their weaknesses:
- Gaping Jaw: Poison
- Darkdrift Knight: Lightning
- Sentient Pest: Fire
- Stock up on Relics:Use Sovereign Sigils to buy Relics like:
- Dark Night of the Baron: boosts critical damage (great for Raider/Wylder)
- Dark Night of the Champion: enhances weapon buffs (ideal for Executor)
- Dark Night of the Wise: increases FP (perfect for Recluse/Revenant)
- Use the Grand Luminous Scene: This Relic boosts attack power for each evergaol prisoner defeated, stack it for massive damage.
- Optimize your route: Clear outer camps first, then spiral inward. Prioritize evergaols and Shifting Earth events for XP and loot.
- Exploit the duplication glitch (if you’re comfortable): Players have discovered a still-active exploit that lets you duplicate items like Wending Grace (revives) and stack weapon buffs. Use it on Day 3 before the boss door to give your team a fighting chance.
Bandai Namco has teased four new Everdark Sovereigns coming later this summer:
- Tricephalos
- Augur
- Equilibrious Beast
- Fissure in the Fog
Their release dates haven’t been confirmed yet, but prepping now will give you a major edge when they arrive.
