Elden Ring: Nightreign DLC release window confirmed for early 2026

FromSoftware’s parent company updates investors on the long-awaited expansion’s progress.

The Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, the multiplayer game inspired by FromSoftware’s latest hit, will be arriving in early 2026, according to information from Kadokawa, the parent company of developer FromSoftware.

The information, revealed during the second quarter earnings report on November 6, reveals that this DLC is still in the future, possibly arriving at the end of FY 2025, which is March 2026. At the same time, the release windows for the other titles planned within the studio have been confirmed. “We are aiming for further sales growth for Elden Ring Nightreign, original Elden Ring, and its DLC,” the company said in its recent financial report to investors. “We have multiple game titles in the development pipeline. FromSoftware is currently developing Elden Ring Nightreign DLC (planned for release in FY2025), Elden Ring Tarnished Edition (planned for release in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2), and The Duskbloods (planned for release in 2026).”

Huge displeasure among fans

However, fans are not so happy. When the game was originally announced, it was revealed that the game would receive an expansion, which would be available “by Q4 2025.” With November approaching, several fans have been writing negative reviews on the game’s Steam page, as FromSoftware has not provided any new details about it.
