Elizabeth Olsen has revealed the reason why she keeps coming back as Marvel Studios’ Scarlet Witch
There could be many reasons why an actor takes a role, but when it comes to the Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen is clear about the why.
One of the most recognized actresses within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Elizabeth Olsen, known for her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and appearing in seven projects since 2014. Recently, in an interview with Vulture, she spoke about the reason why she kept returning to the MCU over and over again with the same role, and the reason she gave could not be clearer: a love for the world of acting.
“I’d never really had the mentality of ‘one for them, one for me.’ Marvel has been such a consistent thing I’ve been able to return to and has created — what’s the word? — some feeling of insurance in my life that has given me freedom to choose other jobs. So I haven’t felt like, ‘And then I’ll do this to do this,’” said Olsen. For the actress, participating in big-budget Marvel superhero projects allows her to accept work in other smaller independent productions, thus balancing her work and taking part in all types of projects.

Will Elizabeth Olsen return to the MCU? The actress and her character appear to have died in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, but depending on what happens in the Multiverse Saga there could be a chance to see the Scarlet Witch again. If that happens and given Olsen’s profile as an actress, this return would have to be convincing or even give her some other role as has happened with someone as prominent within Marvel Studios as Robert Downey Jr.
