Elon Musk suggests that a country may be involved in this attack on his social network.

Yesterday, Monday 10 March, X/Twitter had an irregular performance, being down for most of the day, with very short periods of correct operation. According to the portal DownDetector, the social network began experiencing problems around 3:30 a.m. ET, affecting the browser version the most and the mobile application to a lesser extent. Elon Musk, owner of X and now coordinator of Donald Trump’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), assures that these crashes were caused by hackers.

“There has been (and continues to be) a cyber attack on X,” the South African said on his profile on the social network formerly known as Twitter. “We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing...” he concluded, citing a tweet that mentioned protests against the institution that Musk governs, in addition to attacks on Tesla stores, and that did not rule out that the X had been attacked.

X, a social network changed by Elon Musk

Since taking over Twitter in 2022, Musk has implemented a number of changes, the name being the least of them. One of the most recent and certainly the most outstanding of these almost three years was the anonymity when it comes to being able to see the likes to a publication, being private from now on. According to Musk, this measure was adopted to ensure the privacy of users, while not a few voices accused him of being a way to like certain publications related to the ideology of the tycoon without fear of what people will say.
