Thirteen years of waiting. Thirteen years thinking about divers, clickers and oceans that are not lakes. A decade with more questions than answers. But seeing how Alan Wake 2 turned out, the wait was worth it. Just as we say in MeriStation review, “Alan Wake 2 is a major survival horror, the kind that is no longer made. An overwhelming audiovisual production that turns out to be the perfect mix of Resident Evil and Silent Hill to the controls. A narrative game (and proud of it) that is packed with ideas and resources.”
Most of the international press claims Remedy’s game as another candidate for GOTY 2023 (and there are already quite a few), praising a spectacular level design, an incredible setting and a balance between action and puzzles that has not been seen for a long time. Furthermore, the game marks the graphic ceiling of the new generation and it suddenly becomes a new classic of the genre and another essential of 2023. Is it perhaps the best Remedy game?
